—— Chloé Silbano
With the support of the French embassy in China, The Croisements was established in 2006. It aims to promote cultural exchange and interaction between China and France through a series of visual artworks, performing artworks, etc,.
In theexhibition Géométrie Variable, the artist applies the dynamic balance of geometry unleashingthe infinite malleability of the objective world. Her works blend physical lawswith poetic metaphors, such as the layered stacking of tableware in her stilllife series, reflecting her precise deconstruction and poetic reconstruction ofeveryday scenes.
The artist’s creations are both rational and emotional. She observes the world as a traveler, transforming the wonder and contemplationof her journeys into eternal works on canvas. Each stroke is precise andinfused with her insight into emotions of humanity.
“Chloe’s work embodies the renewal and vitality of contemporaryfigurative painting. She is one of the most distinctive voices of hergeneration. I would like to express my special gratitude to Mr. Adam Yu for hisunwavering enthusiasm and support for French culture. Thanks to your efforts, both the Beijing and Hangzhou art spaces continue to showcase the diverse charmof French artistic creations.”
