RongRong&inri Photography Exhibition "Nature and Love"

—— In Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Austria

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria, RongRong&inri Photography Exhibition "Nature and Love" opened on May 29th at Winland International Finance Center, Beijing Financial Street.
In 2001, the Austrian Federal Chancellery invited the artists of RongRong&inri for a three-month residency in Austria. They present the dialogue between Chinese and Austrian culture through snapshots of the bell tower-decorated Alps and the ancient beacon tower-dotted Jiayuguan. The works in this exhibition are grouped into four series: "Austria" (Alps), China "Jiayuguan", "Ruins" and "Wedding Gowns".

"Austria" (Alps)

Inspired by the mountains, valleys, vegetation, and weather of the Alps, the artists express the love between men and nature and the dialogue with the heavenly nature. Works created in 2001.

China "Jiayuguan"

The artists from RongRong&inri stand on the beacon tower on the ancient Great Wall in Jiayuguan. This is a dialogue between lives and homage to the ancient giant with personal physical touch.

Ruins

RongRong's early works are permeated with bitterness and anxiety. The traditional enclosed courtyard house has gone desolate, only under the watch of the posters on the remnant walls.

Wedding gowns

The sharp contrast between the withering twigs and ruins with the lavish silk wedding dress.
