The book Nessun Dorma focuses on the creation of the Nessun Dorma mural in the Winland International Finance Center.

“Nessun Dorma” (“None Shall Sleep”) is an aria sung by Prince Calaf in Puccini’s last opera Turandot. This magnificent song is the inspiration behind this artwork. Before Puccini’s opera, the subject of Turandot had already appeared in a number of Western operas, but Puccini’s version incorporated a number of Chinese elements, such as the folk melody Jasmine Flower and the backdrop of China’s flourishing capital city.

The work presents an ancient Chinese story from a Western classical opera using a traditional Chinese lacquer technique. Here, time and space intersect within transcendent creative beauty.
