On June 22, 2019, to celebrate the hosting of the BLANC DE CHINE International Ceramic Art Award, Winland Group invited pianist Claudia Yang to perform the Four Ballades by ‘the poet of the piano’ Frédéric Chopin, comprising Ballade No. 1 in G Minor Op. 23, Ballade No. 2 in F Major, Op. 38, Ballade No. 3 in A♭ Major, Op. 47 and Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op. 52. The movements of the piece have a free-flowing style, convey great depths of feeling, and give expression to Chopin’s intense feelings of patriotism. In turn, the Wanderer Fantasy in C Major is the result of composer Franz Schubert’s ingenious melding of music with literature. The four movements of the piece, i.e. the ‘fierily intense’ allegro ma non troppo, adagio, presto and allegro, all serve to reveal the composer’s lamentations regarding life, his experiences with worldly concerns and the will of the people, as well as his longing for an idealized freedom and a wonderful life.
